  • Strategy for using Instagram to engage your community, tailored to Organization’s goals and target audience
  • Training on how to find and post content on Instagram
Additional details

Looking to launch a new Instagram account for our organization in connection with an upcoming event. Currently have active presence on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. We are looking to grow our audience by expanding to a new platform, and have heard from current board members and volunteers that Instagram is a platform they would engage with our content on. Need help growing our audience with this new addition to our social media channels.

What we have in place
  • We currently have content for other social media channels, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an upcoming event to create content and engagement around, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to serve more women working to end their homelessness

Being able to tell our story to a larger audience is a goal of the organization as we grow and expand our work to empower women to end their homelessness in DC.

  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss the Organization’s current approach to Instagram (if any), goals for engagement via Instagram, and ideal target audience
  • Volunteer Manager shares any existing marketing materials and brand guidelines with Professional

Milestone 1: Set up Instagram for Business Account
  • Volunteer Manager shares Instagram credentials with Professional, if an existing account exists
  • Professional sets up account with bio and profile picture

Milestone 2: Develop Engagement Strategy
  • Professional recommends other types of accounts to follow and hashtags to use in order to build follower base
  • Professional recommends types and frequency of content to post on account (including posts, stories, and live videos)

Milestone 3: Content Creation Training
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager on how to capture and/or find images to post on Instagram
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager on how to use Instagram editing tools
